With Anchor and Bloom Doulas
We understand that as a pregnant person you have a lot of questions and possibly some fears. Picking your care provider, what classes to take, what to register for and who to hire for your birth team feel like huge decisions. Our goal is to provide you with very personalized care that fits every budget. We work hard to meet you where you are at and provide you with reliable birth professionals. Our doulas are evidence based practitioners and hand picked by us!
Our goal is to make you feel anchored and safe with your birth team so you can bloom into pregnancy, birth and parenting!
Community is an important component in your parenting journey. We have a beautiful network of birth professionals that we work with and when you work with us, you work with them. No matter what your need is, we have the person that can help you and we will work hard to find you the perfect fit.
Jill Magoffin | Lead doula
Jill approaches her role as a Birth and Postpartum Doula with flexibility, kindness, humor, and compassion.
No matter what your family looks like, or what you want for a birth plan, she will support you to ensure your needs are met by providing you with information and options, without judgement. She will be there for you to lower stress, anxiety, and pressure, and be your constant cheerleader through every step of your birthing and postpartum journey.
After spending most of her career in the corporate world, but attending the births of countless friends and family members, she finally realized her calling, and got trained as a Certified Doula. In addition to being a certified birth Doula and trained postpartum Doula with DONA INTERNATIONAL, she is also an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor as well as a New Parent Educator/ Newborn Care Specialist. She is extremely passionate about making sure that the person giving birth is supported and advised of all their choices surrounding birth. Jill aims to achieve a safe, calm, and joyous experience of bringing their little one into the world. She lives in Simi Valley, California with her beautiful blended family of 4 children, and her loving husband Bryan.
Rachel Myers | Lead doula
As a young child Rachel often accompanied her Father to work because she is an animal lover and he is a Veterinarian. One day he sat her down in front of a cage with a dog in it and told her she was going to have puppies. She was so excited but as she watched her pant and circle, I begged my Dad to help her. His response was that she has everything she needs to safely birth her pups. He told me that my job was to be still and make her feel calm and safe.
That memory stayed with Rachel throughout her life and she brings those principles into her Doula Practice as well as her parenting. Patience, confidence and holding space for you, she will work hard to make sure you feel supported and answer your questions.
Raising her own kids, it always amazes her how much labor and birth mirror parenting. So much of the joy of parenthood is doing your best, taking it one breath at a time, shifting plans and laying a foundation of love and respect. Holding space for you as you shift into being a family is a huge honor and responsibility. Although she takes it seriously, she truly believes that it is also so fun and she will help you to get prepared so you feel confident to connect to and raise your human! She has been a birth doula for 10 years.

Colette Wagholikar | Lead doula
Mother of two and a labor & delivery nurse for the last 9 years, Colette has always had the mission to one day step outside of the hospital and reach mothers and families in the community to prepare and support them through pregnancy and birth as well as building happy, secure and safe families.
Host of The Birth Link Podcast and owner of My Friend's a Nurse, a RN Concierge Perinatal Services in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, she joined Jill and Rachel to run the back end of Anchor & Bloom, investing in the much needed evidence based support of birth and postpartum doulas.
Loving to attend births in any location, Colette is open as a doula, doula assistant and midwife assistant, as a montrice. Otherwise, she will be in the hustling to get your contracts assigned and bills paid!
She lives in Simi Valley, CA with her supportive husband, two daughters and German Shepard mix.
